DETAILS Compiling three great soundtracks together, this record features music from the films Foxbat’, ‘The Intercine Project’ and ‘Something to Hide’. Recorded in 1974, The Intercine Project is one of Roy’s early works and demonstrates his recognisable style which previously had won him much acclaim for the score to Get Carter. Tinges of jazz mixed with atmospheric electronics create a moody accompaniment to the film. Foxbat was recorded in 1977 and provided Budd with the opportunity to create some full-on 70’s style funk, blending wah-wah guitars and orchestral riffs. The soundtrack includes many of the elements that are also to be found within his score for the film ‘Diamonds’. Previously unreleased, this rare collection is filled with much groove. Roy Budd’s ability to replicate whatever musical genre best served the film is perfectly illustrated in the large orchestral score written for ‘Something to Hide’.
