The third of the famous Sinbad adventure films, produced by Charles H. Schneer and all featuring Ray Harryhausen’s fabulous effects, The Eye of The Tiger was a departure for composer Roy Budd, who had earned a reputation mostly for his talents as a modern jazz composer and musician. But drawing upon his newly acquired knowledge of writing for orchestra and scoring music for films, Budd shows his admiration for the complex orchestral arrangements of Stravinsky, and the ability to adapt his own amazing writing skills to whatever was required.
