Get Carter - A Classic!
This film is regarded as one of the all time classics within British cinema and so too is the music. The theme has to be one of the coolest pieces of music ever created.
This was Roy Budd’s first true demonstration of his genius as a composer and brought him much acclaim. He was still only in his early twenties, but his ability to combine unusual groups of instruments with simple arrangements to stunning effect was impressive to say the least. Lovingly re-mastered and restored, moving from groovy jazz to psychedelic pop, the score to Get Carter is an amazing representation of music of the time and this release also includes some of the original dialogue taken from the film.
The accompanying booklet features extensive information and interviews and CD 2 features a separate remix record of the title theme.
